The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 16th edition of the Central  Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in CBT (Computer Based Test - Online) mode between December 2022 to January 2023 The exact date of examination will be mentioned on the admit cards of the candidates. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of the examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities, and important dates will be available on CTET's official website https://ctet.nic.in soon and the aspiring candidates are requested to download the Information Bulletin from the above-mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying. Aspiring candidates have to apply online only through the CTET website i.e. https://ctet.nic.in.  The online application process will start from   31-10-2022 (Monday) onwards and the last date for submitting an online application is 2411-2022 (Thursday) up to 23:59 hrs. The fee can be paid up to 25-11-2022 (Friday) before 15:30 hrs.

The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 16 edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 5 July 2022. The test will be conducted in 20 (Twenty) languages in 110 cities all over the country. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of the examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities, and important dates will be available on CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in from December 2022.

  • Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I­V: Primary Stage Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2­ year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2­ year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4­ year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2­ year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

CTET December 2022 Result – OMR sheet evaluation process

  • The OMR answer sheets of the candidates will be evaluated with extreme care and repeatedly scrutinized to avoid any mistakes in the evaluation.
  • Candidates should note that no request for re-checking, re-assessment, re-evaluation or scrutiny of OMR answer sheets will be entertained.
  • CTET Result 2023 - Qualifying marks
  • The qualifying mark of CTET 2023 is 60% or more.
  • Candidates who will score equal to or more than the qualifying marks will be qualified in the exam.
  • Candidates have to secure a minimum of 90 out of the total 150 marks in the respective paper they are appearing.
  • School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently able persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
  • Qualifying for the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

CTET Marksheet

  • The mark sheet of CTET will include the candidate's roll number, candidate's name, mother’s name, father’s name, and category.
  • In the CTET mark sheet, there will also be subject names and marks obtained by the candidate.
  • CTET Duplicate Marksheet
  • In case of loss or damage to the CTET certificate, candidates can apply for a duplicate certificate. A candidate can get a duplicate copy of the CTET mark sheet / Eligibility certificate by paying the prescribed fees through Demand Draft in favor of the Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.

 How to Check CBSE CTET December Result 2022?

  • Step 1: Visit CTET/ CBSE official website.
  • Step 2: Click on the “Result of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)” link.
  • Step 3: Enter roll number and date of birth
  • Step 4: View CTET Result
  • Step 5: Download and take print of result for the CTET exam.
CTET score is valid for a duration of seven years from the date of declaration of the CTET July/December 2022 result. There is no cap on the total number of times an aspirant can appear for the CTET exam. Any candidate who has cleared Central Teacher Eligibility TestY conducted by CBSE may appear again for the entrance exam in order to improve his/ her score.

Qualifying Marks Needed for CTET

As per NCTE notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad. A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as a TET pass, i.e. they need to score more than 90 marks.

School managements (Government, local bodies, government-aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently able persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.

Authorities should give weightage to the CTET scores in the recruitment process, however, qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.
