The SSC Scientific Assistant Recruitment 2017 notification was published on 18th July 2017. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct a open competitive examination for the recruitment position of Scientific Assistant in the India Meteorological Department, Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post for filling up total of 1102 Vacancies tentatively. The SSC Scientific Assistant examination is scheduled to be held from 20th November 2017 to 27th November 2017.

Minimum Essential Educational Qualifications (As of 4th august 2017):
(1) Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc) with Physics as one of the subjects)/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent (OR)
(2) Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent.
Application Fee: For General and OBC Category candidates are required to pay ₹ 100/-; No fee for All women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Handicapped (PH) categories. The Fees can be paid through SBI challan/ SBI Net banking or through credit/ debit cards of any bank.
