Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onward. This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.

JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12thclass examination.

JEE Main 2020 Details

  • NTA has set up around 4000 Test Practice Centers throughout the country, for the convenience of the exam takers. These TPCs shall be available on every Saturday/Sunday from September 1, 2019. Check Here
  • The registrations for JEE Main 2020 Mock Test have begun. Aspirants can book their slots from the official website till December 29, 2019.
  • There will be a reservation of 10% to Economically Weaker Section in JEE Main 2020 and colleges accepting JEE score will reserve the seats for the same.
  • Admissions of students under Direct Admission of Students ABROAD (DASA) will be through JEE Main, as approved by MHRD. This will be applicable from academic year 2021-2022 onwards.
  • Candidates will be able to appear in either one or both the sessions to increase their chances of admission in the colleges. For candidates appearing in both January and April, their better of the twoscores will be considered for the JEE Main Merit List
  • Applicants who register for JEE Main January session will not need to reregister again for April session, they can directly apply using their Application Number and Password.
