eGramSwaraj App And Portal - Simplified Work Based Accounting Application for Panchayati Raj
To strengthen e-Governance in Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) across the country, the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) has launched eGramSwaraj, a user-friendly web-based portal. gram swaraj aims to bring in better transparency in decentralized planning, progress reporting, and work-based accounting.
eGramSwaraj is a mobile phone application that showcases the progress of various activities taken up by the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).
It has been developed with an emphasis on extending greater transparency and access to information to the citizens of India.
eGramSwaraj mobile application acts as a natural extension to the eGramSwaraj web portal (https://egramswaraj.gov.in/) which is one of the applications under e-Panchayat Mission Mode Project (MMP) of Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR).
The Government of India has unveiled the new eGramSwaraj portal and apps aimed for the Panchayati Raj system in the country. The eGramSwaraj portal and app have been announced by PM Narendra Modi via a video conferencing with the Panchayat Sarpanch on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Day 2020. The initiative is a part of the Digital India program in the country and wants to promote e-governance of the Panchayats in villages. This way, villages will be able to work and govern and digitally, thus, bringing about digital literacy in the villages. Read on to know all about it.
The E-Gram Swaraj Portal will mark the complete digitization of the villages to strengthen e-governance in Panchayati Raj institutions in the whole country.
What is Gram Swaraj Portal/App?
The egramswaraj.gov.in portal is one single interface on which the details will be listed panchayat wise. The platform will provide records of work from planning to implementation in every village panchayat under Gram Panchayati Development Plan (GPDP).
What is the benefit of Gram Swaraj Portal/App?
Monitoring and recording all the work via Gram Swaraj Portal/App will help speed-up the implementation of projects in village areas.
As it will contain the details of ongoing development works and the fund allocated for the projects, one can access and know about the groundwork.
All the details related to Panchayat Sachiv and Panch can be viewed on Gram Swaraj Portal.
The works of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj will be accessible through Gram Swaraj Portal.
The Gram Swaraj Portal and application will provide a boost in transparency by decentralized planning of development projects, with progress reports updates and increased accountability.
Many suggestions of users have been incorporated in the application:

MoPR: ePanchayat: One stop for e-Panchayat Applications under Panchayat Enterprise Suite (PES)
MoPR has undertaken e-Panchayat Mission Mode Project(MMP) with a view to introduce and strengthen e-Governance in Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) across the country and build associated capacities of the PRIs for effective adoption of the e-Governance initiative. Under this project, Panchayat Enterprise Suite (PES) has been conceptualized which comprises 11 Core Common applications. At present, the Panchayat Enterprise Suite has been deployed/operational with 10 Core Common Applications and GIS layer module is under conceptualization. Besides this one can also know the information on the adoption Status of these Applications across States.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched two mobile portals E-Gram Swaraj Portal & Swamitva Scheme on April 24, 2020. The portals can be accessed at egramswaraj.gov.in and can be downloaded on mobile.
The portal has been launched for the improvement of society.

The India Panchayat Knowledge Portal (IPKP) is a catalogued repository of Panchayat related knowledge- processes, procedures, learnings, problem-solving, innovation and creativity engaged (as lessons learnt) by the States/ other stakeholders so that various stakeholders can access it for different uses. This would result in the central availability of both theoretical and empirical knowledge for all the stakeholders to use.
