CBSE Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2020 Notification out @ctet.nic.in Notification out @ctet.nic.in The Central Board of Secondary Education, (CTET July 2020) Delhi will be conducting the 10th Edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 2020 (Sunday) for a candidate to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for class I to VIII. The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the 13 edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on 5 July 2020. The test will be conducted in 20 (Twenty) languages in 110 cities all over the country. The detailed Information Bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, languages, eligibility criteria, examination fee, examination cities and important dates will be available on CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in from July 2020.


  • Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I­V: Primary Stage Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2­ year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2­ year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4­ year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2­ year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

CTET July 2020 Result – OMR sheet evaluation process


  • The OMR answer sheets of the candidates will be evaluated with extreme care and repeatedly scrutinized to avoid any mistakes in the evaluation.
  • Candidates should note that no request for re-checking, re-assessment, re-evaluation or scrutiny of OMR answer sheets will be entertained.
  • CTET Result 2019 - Qualifying marks
  • The qualifying mark of CTET 2020 is 60% or more.
  • Candidates who will score equal to or more than the qualifying marks will be qualified in the exam.
  • Candidates have to secure a minimum of 90 out of total 150 marks in the respective paper they are appearing.
  • School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently able persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
  • Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

CTET Marksheet


  • The marksheet of CTET will include the candidates roll number, candidates name, mother’s name, father’s name and category.
  • In the CTET marksheet , there will also be subject name and marks obtained by the candidate.
  • CTET Duplicate Marksheet
  • In case of loss or damage of CTET certificate, candidates can apply for a duplicate certificate. A candidate can get a duplicate copy of CTET marksheet / Eligibility certificate by paying the prescribed fees through Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education drawn on any nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.

 How to Check CBSE CTET July Result 2020?


  • Step 1: Visit CTET/ CBSE official website.
  • Step 2: Click on “Result of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)” link.
  • Step 3: Enter roll number and date of birth
  • Step 4: View CTET Result
  • Step 5: Download and take print of result for CTET exam.


CTET score is valid for a duration of seven years from the date of declaration of CTET July 2020 result. There is no cap on the total number of times an aspirant can appear for CTET exam. Any candidate who has cleared Central Teacher Eligibility TestY conducted by CBSE may appear again for the entrance exam in order to improve his/ her score.

Qualifying Marks Needed for CTET

As per NCTE notification No. 76-4/2010/NCTE/Acad. A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass, i.e. they need to score more than 90 marks.

School managements (Government, local bodies, government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently able persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.

Authorities should give weight age to the CTET scores in the recruitment process, however, qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

  • Last Date to Apply Online: 24 February 2020
  • Release of CTET Admit Card: March 2020
  • CTET 2020 Exam Date: 5 July 2020
  • CTET Result declaration: By 30 July 2020 (Expected)
  • Release of CTET Certificate: August 2020

The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through CTET website www.ctet.nic.in. The online application process will start from 24 January 2020. The last date for submitting online application is 24 February 2020 and fee can be paid upto 24 February 2020 till 15.30 PM.
